Who we are

Lochaber Solar Savings is a trading name of Scottish Energy Efficiency, operated by Caledonia Energy Efficiency Ltd, a company registered in Scotland (Company Number [CRN]) with registered office at Unit 3 Prospect III, Prospect Business Centre, Dundee DD2 1TY. We are a renewable energy consultancy and introducer service. We do not carry out installations ourselves. Installations are delivered by our network of pre-vetted, fully-accredited installation partners.

For data protection purposes, the data controller is Caledonia Energy Efficiency Ltd. Our ICO registration reference is [ICO-REF].

Information we collect

When you submit an enquiry through this website, we collect: name, contact details (phone, email, postcode), property details, and your renewable energy requirements. We also collect technical information automatically (IP address, browser type, pages viewed) via cookies and analytics.

How we use your information

With your consent, we use your information to:

• Match you with installation partners in our network who hold the relevant accreditations for the work you have enquired about
• Pass your enquiry to those installation partners so they can contact you to arrange a quote or survey
• Send follow-up communications about your enquiry where you have consented
• Improve our website and service

Our installation partners are separate data controllers and bound by their own data protection obligations once they receive your enquiry.

Lawful basis under UK GDPR

Our lawful basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) — given by your submission of the enquiry form. We also rely on legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) for operating our business of matching homeowners with renewable energy installers.

Who we share your data with

We share your enquiry data with:

• Installation partners in our pre-vetted network (separate data controllers)
• Google (Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics, where you have consented)
• Zapier Inc. (USA) — for automated data routing into our internal systems

Where data is transferred outside the UK (notably to Zapier in the USA), the transfer is covered by Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the UK Government.

How long we keep your data

Enquiry data is retained for 24 months from your last contact. Analytics data is retained for 26 months.
